Most of these studies are directed at examining and improving prescribing trends and the efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness of drug therapy in community and hospital settings. Drug use in the elderly is a particular interest.
Therapeutic drug monitoring studies examine the relationships between drug dosage regimens and their plasma concentrations and therapeutic effects. Other studies examine non-medical drug usage and minimisation of harm associated with social drug usage.
   
 

 

 

IDRS The Illicit Drug Reporting System (IDRS) is a national study, designed to monitor illicit drug markets and provide a strategic early warning system of significant changes and emerging trends in illicit drug use.   UMORE
