James Reeve
BPharm (Hons), PhD, Grad Dip Inf Tech
James graduated from the University of Tasmania with a BPharm in 1986 and completed a Graduate Diploma of Information Technology in 1994. James has worked in a broad range of health-related areas including medical publishing, web design, electronic publishing, research, and community and hospital pharmacy. He was Editor and Electronic Production Editor with Therapeutic Guidelines Limited from 1998 to 2003. He is currently a PhD candidate in health informatics at the University of Tasmania , living in Melbourne . James has recently been appointed to the newly-created position of Manager of Clinical Decision Systems at the National Prescribing Service. His PhD thesis, titled “ Utilisation and evaluation of information technology to deliver educational initiatives for health professionals that could improve medication safety in community and hospital settings. ” was completed in 2006 under the supervision of Professor Gregory Peterson.
