Membership in the Tasmanian Association of Pharmacy Students is open to all students enrolled in Pharmacy and graduates of not more than two years. TAPS provides regular and enjoyable social activities throughout the year and acts, in a variety of ways, to protect and improve the interests of members. TAPS also acts to provide certain student requisites and text books at significantly reduced prices and provides extracurricular training courses, including stitches, First Aid and Blackmore's Course. TAPS annually affiliates with the University Union Societies Council which provides financial assistance and makes available many facilities and services.
